Ofsted validates ‘Outstanding’ performance by Bristnall Hall Academy
Bristnall Hall Academy has received its most positive report yet from Ofsted and has firmly cemented the progress made since their ‘Good’ rating in 2016.
The latest report includes significant praise from Ofsted, clearly stating that “there is enough evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school could be judged Outstanding…”
The academy, in Oldbury, received the inspirational report following a successful Section 8 inspection on the 3rd and 4th November 2021. This report marks the outstanding improvements made since the school’s previous inspection in November 2016, where inspectors deemed the academy to be ‘Good’ in all categories.
Ofsted recognise that “pupils say how happy they are coming to school, enjoy their work and are excited about their learning…”. Inspectors also noted that students at Bristnall Hall Academy “have positive attitudes to their learning”, thus ensuring that they “achieve highly in their studies, including in English and Mathematics”.
The Ofsted report also makes keen observations of staff at the academy, who go “above and beyond” for their students. This is clearly supplemented by outstanding teaching and learning, with the report stating that “leaders have designed an ambitious curriculum which is very well sequenced… it ensures that pupils build on and apply their knowledge to new learning.”
Principal, Mr Kully Uppal, is immensely proud of Ofsted’s outstanding validation and sees it as well -deserved recognition of the hard work and dedication of all of the Bristnall Hall Academy family: “Bristnall Hall Academy is an exceptional institute for young people to learn and develop in, and the relentless efforts of students, parents, staff and governors has resulted in this outstanding validation of our work from Ofsted.
He continued: “it is clear that Bristnall Hall Academy is a beacon of excellence and truly leading the way in education within Sandwell and the Black Country. We look forward to welcoming Ofsted back in 12 months to further showcase why we are indeed, the highest performing academy in Sandwell.”
Councillor Karen Simms, cabinet member for children and education congratulated the academy on their latest Ofsted report. She said: “This rating is a testament to the hardworking team at Bristnall Hall Academy in Oldbury.
“This inspection took place during some of the toughest school years children have experienced due to the Covid-19 pandemic and to get such high praise from Ofsted is a real achievement. Congratulations to all involved at the academy and I wish them all the best in their ambition to be rated ‘outstanding’ at their next inspection.”
