Friday 20th March 2020 (Download PDF Version)
Dear Parents and Carers,
As you will be aware, the government has taken the decision to close all schools. As such, we will be operating remotely over the coming weeks.
Academy Hours:
It is still the expectation that students are working at home during this period. As parents, please ensure your child is working the hours of the academy day in addition to further homework set. Your child has been issued with a copy of their timetable to help provide them with structure and routine during this period.
Children of key workers, who are attending from Monday 23 March 2020, must wear full academy uniform. The academy will be open from 8:30am and close as per scheduled times of 3:30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and 2:35pm on Wednesday and Friday. Unfortunately, due to limited resources, the Breakfast Club will not be in operation.
Remote Learning:
Students in Years 7-10 will be set work by their teachers via Microsoft Teams according to their normal academy timetable. Please ensure you and your child check Microsoft Teams every day to retrieve work. Your child can access Microsoft Teams via their school email account: http://www.office.com
For all Year 11 students, learning materials have been provided and work will be available via Microsoft Teams. Once the government confirms the plan for Year 11 assessment, we will write to you advising you on the next steps to be taken.
