Bristnall Hall Academy, Bristnall Hall Lane, Oldbury, West Midlands, B68 9PA
At Bristnall Hall we have a small, but highly successful, Sixth Form. We offer a range of Level 3 courses in both A level and Technical BTEC qualifications. The students have a different dress code (business dress) and have their own area in the academy. Lessons are in small classes that allow our students to achieve highly with a high level of support received in and out of lessons. We work on preparing them for their next steps whether that is university, apprenticeships or employment and have an extensive internship programme. Students in recent years have progressed to many universities including Russell Group establishments, as well as into employment and apprenticeships.
The Advance to Birmingham Scheme (A2B)
We are pleased to be part of the Advance to Birmingham Scheme (A2B). Birmingham University is one of the leading universities in the UK and internationally. Support for Post 16 Students
At Bristnall Hall we have high expectations of students and their work. There are three ways in which concrete support is offered
A Bus Pass – students who live further than 3 miles will be provided with a free bus pass (continuation of which is dependent upon attendance and punctuality)
A Cash Bursary. This is money that is paid directly to students in a bank account. It is means tested on parental income, and other factors.
A Learning PC. Students are required to be able to undertake a significant amount of work in order to for them to achieve well so we provide our students with their own laptop/ tablet device whilst they are with us. This is free of charge.
